I bought this unit to replace an old Linksys working router (five years old). It was very easy to install and works much faster... The software was very easy to install....Up and running in ten minutes....I like it very much.....Great product..!~!!

 "Easy Setup" 2010-08-19

Easy set up. After realizing my old Linksys Wireless "G" Broadband Router was too "old" to run streaming video, I researched and purchased the CISCO E2000 which my "old" 50" DLP tv was able to play video from Netflix, UTube, etc. Set up was easy enough once I followed the simple instructions. After several weeks of use, I have found nothing to make my unsatisfied with this excellent product.

I received it and installed it and have all but forgotten it. I've had no issues at all. I do like the security options.

"JUNK!!! and poor customer service" 2010-07-30
By Jason White
I received 2 of these last week Friday, hooked up on Sunday, and everything worked fine... its now Friday morning, and one of the 2 has completely died(no lights.. nothing). The one that died was set up to be my router/access point, and the other is being used as a gigabit switch/access point. Both units were hot to touch, and smelled of burning electronics after running only 1 day.. I assumed this was normal.. as "N" takes more power, and I figured that was why these were hot. I call tech support.. 25 min later they tell me to call customer service...( i mean really.. its DEAD.. what are they going to do?)... So i call Customer service, and they informed me, i can send it in for repair on my own dime..(are you kidding?)or i can return for free( they will send me a call tag to return for refund, but not for repair/replacement) WOW what crappy options.. I try asking if this is a know problem, and they have no idea.. (wondering if i get another one, if it might work, and the one i got is just bad luck).. So i am returning both, and looking for a new solution.. Any thoughts?

 "This Thing Stinks" 2010-07-26
By J. Alvarez (Santa Clara, CA USA)
This router worked great for about a month, then one day it got hot in my apartment and ever since, the wireless connection has been lousy. Actually, it was lousy before it got cooked, but now it is just useless. As stated previously, this thing can get hot, which makes me wonder, would it really cost too much to put a fan in the thing? I had half a mind to do it myself by cutting a hole in the top and sticking a fan in it. Gigabit Ethernet is great, works pretty good on this router, which is the only thing I really like. The user interface is dated, I guess it scores points for familiarity, but my 10 year old router had the same interface. All I want is a gigabit wireless router that works, I knew I was taking a risk by buying a "sleek and stylish" router, and it got me. My laptops are currently useless, plan on returning the router in the morning.
