I needed an access point to add to my wired network to add wireless capability. I knew as much about this "stuff" as I do about rockets. After doing as much reading as I could, I opted for this product. Absolutely no problem setting up the access point.
The one moment when I did get stuck, I had to call tech support. Fabulous 24/7 support from Texas. What I really liked about their tech support person was that he consulted another tech to be sure that he was giving me correct advice.
Too bad that Buffalo isn't as widely distributed here in Canada as it is in the U.S. I had it shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg NY. It arrived as scheduled and I was up and running the same day.

So far, this is the best router I've owned. It was easy to set up, came with DD-WRT (very impressive), and I've noticed no negative performance issues. It's also very small - it makes my modem look like a giant. The price + free shipping + no tax can't be beat by local stores.
I've been using it for around a month now. Hopefully it doesn't have the same fate as my last three Linksys routers after a couple years.

I have 2 of these and they are both great. DD-Wrt (and supported form the vendor) for $55 makes this an easy decision. I have them running in WDS 2 stories apart and get fantastic performance from my network. They have been running for about 2 weeks now and I have not had a single issue from either of them. Unlike some Linksys's I upgraded, these seem to stay up w/out unplugging the power to reset them. The price is fantastic and if you are looking at this because you are interested in DD-Wrt it should be an easy decision.

Just received this router and got it setup, very pleased with it and highly recommend it.
Pros:
- Preloaded with a Buffalo branded version of DD-WRT
- Very fast and easy to setup if you are already familiar with DD-WRT
- Sleek and compact design
- Can be oriented sitting flat or standing up on its side
- Removable/upgradeable antennas
Cons:
Only con I can see is the lack of gigabit LAN ports, but this is really a non issue for me as I don't need them. For the price, I wouldn't expect gigabit ports anyway.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a simple wireless N router that is fast, stable and has a great design running DD-WRT preloaded.

After years and years of using a Linksys Router ..even before they were acquired by Cisco.I found myself replacing the Linksys about 18 months or so..also having to reset it every six months.I am an IT professional and simply because the companies that I worked for used Linksys so did I.If you want great 24/7 free texh support,2 year warranty, stable and solid internet connections I very strongly recommend this router. After I changed from a Linksys I purchased a Belkin G Wireless router from a local store..With that router and about 6 calls to their tech support people and having a new Belkin N+N N150 G cross shipped to me ..My internet connection was dropped more than once daily..In fact it more down than up with the Belkin ..In short for a graet ,reliable ,stable product with graet customer support and warranty..please purchase the Buffalo router..Also wher as the Linksys was somewhat bulky and the Belkin compact but felt cheaply made...The Buffalorouter does not take up a lot of space..It is wall mountable, compact to the point of looking more like a work of art than a router. My internet wireless connection went from being sort of good to excellent with the Buffalo router. We van have all desktops on and surfing ,plus have the laptops streamiming movies ,while on our main laptops working as usual, with no loss in wireless signal strength. My service provider is ATT-GlobalNot the upscale DSL package but the basic. The Buffalo router has made a world of difference in our internet surfing experience.
