Don't waste your money on this router or any other TRENDnet product!
This is my second TRENDnet router.
I had a TEW-432BRP (wireless G) for about five months that started disconnecting me more and more frequently - and after every disconnect I would have to reset the router to get any of my computers to reconnect to it. I claimed my warranty on it and had to pay to ship it back to TRENDnet, who took a very long time to get a replacement unit back to me.
I still had problems with it, so I caved and bought this TEW-632BRP, figuring that Wireless N would probably be better than G. Now I don't get disconnect problems, but it does:
1. fail to recognize computer names over network after waking up from sleep mode
2. fail to allow my HP wireless printer to reconnect after waking up from sleep mode
3. after owning it for about six months with few other problems, now I'm getting dropped packets! About 1/4 or 1/5 packets drop. It makes streaming videos and playing games online completely unbearable.
I haven't put any heavy traffic on this router, just three laptops that do mostly web browsing and play a game occasionally. There's no reason it should be failing after less than a year.
I'm tired of buying cheap stuff and having to pay to get it fixed or to replace it every five or six months.
From now on I'm going with a better brand like Linksys or D-Link. TRENDnet has horrible customer service and horrible shoddy hardware!

I picked this up for $25 from [...] (through Amazon). The original firmware is quite simple (and a bit flaky). I did have it working pretty well with the latest version of the firmware but it would still disconnect at times.
I downloaded the latest version of DD-WRT (which now supports this router) and loaded it. It is much improved now. The disconnects are gone and my range is slightly better. It took a bit of research to get the firmware to load but it was worth it.
I also know this is the same unit as a D-Link 615 router and you can load the firmware for the D-Link on here and it works very well also. Do some research on the internet.
Overall I would say this is a good product provided you use alternate firmware. It would be unused (or returned) if I had to only use the firmware provided by Trendnet. If you're handy and comfortable with uploading firmware, etc., it's a great bargain to get N-speeds with either D-Link or DD-WRT firmware.
Otherwise, I would be leary of buying this. Wish the manufacturers could figure this out and actually put software on these things that work.

Received the latest version A1.2 and it setup and worked fine. Only change I had to make to the otherwise automatic setup was to change the channel and bandwidth settings to achieve more than 65MB connection speed. With those two changes I now get 150MB connections reliably. The device does get a bit warmer than other wireless routers I've owned. Could be due to its small size. 3 year warranty is better than many. The automatic setup instructions were bullet-proof. The best I've encountered for a network device.

Still working great. Not sure why the negative reviews by some. Could be previous hardware versions and/or setup software.

I am not comfurtable with this, since my VPN is disconnecting very frequently, where as it is not happening when i connected from Network Cable. I feel iwasted money on this.

Out of the box, I'm not sure how this router measures up to others but to me, if you have some knowledge of reflashing the router firmware, there are some options to improve the usability.
Note that reflashing with alternative firmware voids your warranty unless you can restore the original firmware. This is not always possible; in fact, you can render the router inoperable ('bricked'). Proceed at your own risk.
Under the covers, this router is essentially identical to the D-Link DIR-615 and the firmware for the D-Link product can be installed on it. I found the D-Link firmware to have more options than the Trendnet original firmware which is frankly dumbed-down and only provides very basic function. A starter firmware that will load on this router is at [..] Once that is installed, the latest firmware from D-Link for the revision C hardware can be loaded.
Going a bit further, the very popular (for techies, anyway) DD-WRT firmware is available in a beta form, i.e., it has not been fully vetted for functional stability. You won't find it at the official DD-WRT download site but it is available at [..](latest build).
I have one set up as an access point to my FIOS router (a 56Mbps wireless router that can't be replaced because of the set-top box networking over coax requirement). DD-WRT provides the ability to bridge segments wirelessly so I will be acquiring another to network to my PS3 and media player box. I am now using another Trendnet product, the game extender TEW-647, with a switch to do this - works flawlessly, but I'd like to reduce the number of components and cables.
Read up on the DD-WRT forums and get some background. This little router can shine with a firmware update. I like that the antennas are removable (unlike the newer TEW-652) and have replaced the 3db gain antennas with 5db gain. You can, with discretion, increase the output power of the transmitter on the router which DD-WRT gives you an option.
This small, piano black box fits in inobstrusively in my home network.
